reqs are when you forsake points in str for vitality.

The same goes for the gems as well; I`ve done norm forges in baal runs
before hoping for a boost in the rune level and noticed the same 4
gems each time.
(And apparently more players does NOT equal higher runes, since I
still got crap like EL and Eth. It`s a straight forward 1 in 11 chance
for each rune.)
Bottom line: anyone Forging while partied is just making it harder on
themselves, and probably pissing off the other folks; there`s no
benefit unless it`s a friend helping you clean out the monsters around
the forge and he already has the quest.
